(usually open by mid-June) Like it's counterpart, Engineer Pass Road is an extremely popular 4WD route and can be quite busy in late summer.

The North Fork Cutoff is used to link Cinnamon Pass Road and Engineer Pass Road at the west end of the Alpine Loop.
