Note: The free GPS routes available for download from this web page are all in the Garmin City Select North America v6 format. You will need an Garmin auto-routing GPS instrument and the appropriate unlock codes to use these routes.

Each route file follows the original source layout, i.e., if the route was routed from west to east then that is how the route was done using MapSource. Each route file is supplied in the inverted or reversed direction also and is identified by using the letter 'R' as a suffix or last character of the file name before the dot extension.

WE01.gdb = Orginal file layout

WE01R.gdb = Reversed file layout

Sometimes the route will have a 'EW', 'WE', 'NS' or 'SN" directional suffix.

The 'CC' suffix is counter-clockwise and the 'CW' suffix is clockwise.

 

Grand Canyon Route

This route runs from Cedar City, Utah to Mesa, Arizona. This routes was developed for bicycle use and the original route traveled on some bike paths which of course are not on the City Select maps. The bike paths are a very small percentage of the route and surface streets/roads were routed as close to the original route as possible. This route takes you through Zion National Park and the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon.

Lewis & Clark Trail #1

This route runs from St. Louis to the Oregon Pacific Coast. This routes was developed for bicycle use and the original route traveled on some bike paths which of course are not on the City Select maps. The bike paths are a very small percentage of the route and surface streets/roads were routed as close to the original route as possible.

This route runs from St. Louis to the Oregon Pacific Coast. This route gets you from St. Louis to the Oregon Pacific coast but it takes a slightly different route.

This routes was developed for bicycle use and the original route traveled on some bike paths which of course are not on the City Select maps.
