The routes, waypoints and track logs comprising TrekNow's Oregon Back Country Discovery Route are based on maps sold by the Oregon Off-Highway Vehicle Association. The maps supplied by OOHVA present the route in four sections, in a south-to-north direction. The TrekNow routes are supplied in both south-to-north and north-to-south directions, but we group the routes consistent with the sections presented by OOHVA maps. This allows the user to use the OOHVA maps along with the TrekNow GPS data. |
This cdrom contains gps routes for the Oregon Back Country Discovery Route Backroads. Each route contains waypoints and a full track log. Track logs are provided in Active (maximum resolution), 250 Point, 500 Point and 700 Point saved track log sizes. Routes, waypoints and track logs are bidirectional where appropriate. Routes are compatible with Garmin, Magellan and Lowrance GPS instruments.
Note: In previous versions we provided a MS Windows based menu driven software program which uses Garmin's MapSource to transfer the route data to/from the GPS instrument. In versions 5.0 and newer we will no longer provide the menu driven interface because Garmin's replacement for MapSource, BaseCamp will not allow the programmatic interface that MapSource provided.
